112 is the GSM international standard emergency number which can only be dialled on digital mobile phones. 112 can be dialled anywhere in the world with GSM coverage and is automatically translated to that country's emergency number. |

The Australian 106 emergency call relay service is the world's first national text-based emergency call service for people who are deaf or who have a speech or hearing impairment. 106 is operated by Australian Communication Exchange (ACE) which provides the national relay service.
